The 3rd International Industrial Ethernet Symposium is a technology forum where top users and vendors will present and discuss the latest trends, innovations and challenges regarding the penetration of Ethernet into industrial applications. The event is expected to attract 300 participants from 15 countries. Attendees will be treated to two days of presentations, panel discussions and demonstrations covering the benefits and applications of Ethernet in automation.
Some of the planned presenters include representatives from ARC, Gartner, Beckhoff, Cisco, B&R, Hirschmann, Rockwell, Schneider and Siemens.
The focus on industrial Ethernet applications, the openness to multiple suppliers and the inviting international flavor will make this a unique event in industrial networking.
The highlight of the event will be a panel discussion, moderated by ARC, about the benefits of Ethernet in industry. Panelists from five Industrial Ethernet consortia including ODVA, Modbus-IDA, EtherCAT, Ethernet Powerlink and Profibus International (PI) will present their views on the value of using Ethernet in industrial automation and answer questions from the moderator and the audience.
