This is not exactly the main criteria to select a microcontroller
The selection depends on many requirements like type of inputs. outputs, interfaces and much more
any ways TI and Renesas (SH series) have some good microcontrollers
Let us know your detail requirements so that we can help you narrow the list

Yes, I require controller in which you can directly interface a Camera.. may b using some protocol.. like the one UART...

Do you want to interface a readymade digital camera to a controller or do you want to interface image sensor (ccd) to the controller

basically the idea is that.. i need a image processor onboard itself.. i.e. i need to process the data (from camera) onboard without interfacing it with pc.. we can use image sensors, but they are costly & not available in Indian market. so i was trying out whether I could directly interface camera..

In my opinion it will be easier to use a CCD image sensor rather than a camera and you will be able to have more control over the functions
Infact there is one image sensor with processing circuit in the department but it was supposed to be used on different project
anyways you can always order online even if it is not available in Indian Market.
