Post subject: Automatic Temperature Control System
Hey friends.. How are u all?
In my new project, i need to control the temperature of flue gas going into the coke bin. For that can i use a gate valve as the control valve. Normally we use butterfly valves for such control systems. I have never used a gate valve. If u have any idea in using gate valves please suggest me whether they can be used in Automatic control or not?

Use of gate valve in automation is normal.
I have used dampers many places for automation.
And especially for flue gas, where size of duct is very big, gate valves are only the option.
