We are using Vortex flow meters in our plant. And we send those flow meters to the manufacturers for calibration and we get the necessary calibration certificates from them.

K-Factor of a flow meter is normally given by the manufacturer based on the Turn down ratio, Line pressure , temperature and other factors.

we can calibrate mag flow meter, by installing one more portable ultrasonic flow meter(or any other meter), upstream of mag meter. However, to get certificate, you need to check with your quality requirements wheather it requires vendor certification or inhouse calibration certificate.

For factory calibration, you can use test bench and specific flow and specific ambient conditions which will generate newarly idal mag. field.

K factor is explained by shirisha.

Temp transmitter calibration is done with temp. element on test bench with oilbath system.
