Post subject: Compensating Cables & their testing methods

Dear Friends ,
Wanted to know the difference between the varoius compensating cables like Type S , R, Vx , K etc along with their testing methods & procedures

The different types in compensating cables are meant for different ranges. Like type S should be used for 'S' type thermocouple and so on. What do u mean by testing methods? We normally check the continuity of the compensating cable and mV at head as well as at the indicator end of the cable to confirm the temperature reading.
