Post subject: Help with PI controller..

hi there, I am new here so I hope i am doing the right thing to get help with this PI controller.

The PI Controller I am talking about will be used in a torque loop of a synchronous motor. After some derivation, it was found that the relationship between the torque and the voltage is just a gain ( G = 0.2845). please refer to the block diagram.

The exponential represents a delay in the actual system.

The problem now is, I have tried many methods of designing the PI controller. I have tried the ITAE coefficients and root locus method and none of them seem to work.

My aim is to design a PI controller which will be robust to reject the disturbance, and also will give the torque performance to have settling time of 3ms.

Can someone help me with this? any suggestion will do.

Thanks
