Hey Nita
Thanks for that, great resource with all the basics covered very well. I would like to give that to some of my customers that want to have an understanding of instrumentation measuring principles.
I've only had a quick look so far but would like to add a couple of points.
1. Magflow meters Do have straight pipe requirements, generally 5 x Pipe Diameter upstream and 2 x Downstream, this helps ensure a uniform flow through the meter and therefore the accuracy statement by the manufacturer, which as you point out is generally <0.5%
2. Radar level measurement should be added to the Level section, I would suggest something like
2.4.9 Microwave Radar
Radar type works on the principle of measurement of the time required for sound waves to travel through space (Time of Flight), and suitable for non-contact level measurement applications of liquids and solids that are too difficult for ultrasonic.
Accuracy is generally not affected by variations of pressure, temperature, relative humidity, concentration of gases and vapors.
Microwave radar waves are reflected by the change in Dielectric constant (DK) from space to the product surface
Cheers
