Bode plots and root locus are used to stabilize a system and to find it's properties. They are mainly used in research areas and in an industry they are in use for design of controllers, development of programing for them etc, ie mainly in R&D. Softwarers like matlab are used in several fields for control system design.for more details consult a research professional in this field. For your second question => the dcs are mainly used when several types of control and communication are needed. Since the dcs can be programmed for almost all of our needs there is no such trends in dcs. But there are some categories of highly safe instruments for hazardous areas highly reliable ones for critical operations etc. most common dcs producers are honewell, yokogawa, emerson, siemens etc

Sir/mam finding a property of a device or a system virtually in a software is reliable?
and if reliable why does this happen that the parameters never match of a virtual model and the actual model i wantd to know is there any hardware device which is being programmed using all these methods
