hI MAHADEVA

I am instrumentation design engineer.

Would like to share something with you.

first thing,

For P&ID and all

there is a software like smart plan

and best software which is nicely acceptable around the technical globe

is InTools

its very user frinedly

but it comes iwht licence

and one more thing

when you purchase the licencse from intergraph

you will get a complimentary and comprehenseive training

for that

this includes from process data sheet, instrument data sheet,
instrument index, I/O database, Calcluation sheet, Hook UP diagram,
Termination diagram, cable schedule , logic diagram etc.

It has different module for that too.

No, but a sales person gave a demo on this product. I thought it looked good but it was a little more than we needed. We do most of our smaller drawings in MS Visio, for larger projects our CAD group completes the drawings.

I think the requirement is not only drawings, by instrument index, you should be possible to create loop drawings, logic diagrams ,wiring diagrams and CAD drawings also.
