Heading: Techkriti'12 NutCracker launched !!
Hi,
NutCracker the Sci-event of Techkriti'12 is Launched. We start off with NutCracker, an elegant short course of puzzles in Physics and Maths, arriving at your doorstep once every week. All you need is a pen and a piece of paper, and of course, some assistance from those little gray cells! With simple problems (which may have even simpler solutions), guaranteed is loads of fun!
Problem statement-1 is already uploaded on the Website and Techkriti Fan page on Facebook. Prizes worth 8000 INR at stake!

Hey All,
IIT Bombay, Techfest always presents robotics enthusiasts an opportunity to sharpen their skills and this time also we have tried our best to uphold the reputation. This year’s competition covers a very wide genre of robotics which includes:
1. Autobots : A genre devoted to futuristic autonomous bots.
2. Code Maestros : A genre to test logic of participants.
3. Kaleidoscope : A genre devoted to basic science competitions.
4. Prayaas : An initiative of Techfest which focuses on development of India.
5. Robowars : A battlefield for monstrous bots.
6. Split Second : A genre of racing on air, water and land.

This year HAM club, IIT Kanpur presents you with some real exciting events in Techkriti '10 like Telekino and Electrobuzz apart from its evergreen Fox-Hunt and a Lecture Series from amateur experts. Reach here for more info.
Telekino will comprise of designing an IR transmitter and receiver. The transmitter will be used to play tic-tac-toe on an LED matrix connected to the receiver. IMPORTANT: Use of MCUs is not allowed. Deadline for abstract submission is 28 December. Send your abstract here.
Then comes the Electro-buzz. It's an on-the-spot event. Will comprise of a prelim and a final round. In prelims, you will be given a lecture on SDR and a written test will be taken individually from all the team members. Based on combined team performance, you get into final and then you have to make a circuit on the spot!!
Then is the Fox Hunt. Another on the spot event. And I think this event need not be explained!!

Techkriti,the annual technical festival of IIT Kanpur, is one of the largest Inter-Collegiate Technical festival of India .This year Techkriti becomes even bigger with the merger of the technical and business festivals.Also to add to its grandeour ,IIT kanpur is celebrating its Golden Jubilee from 2009-2010.

The vision of Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, “PROGRESS THROUGH EDUCATION” is reflected in our endeavour to conduct the international conference "EPSCICON 2010" on 4-6 January 2010.Through this conference we hope to bring to the scientific community of India in general and Kerala in particular, an epsilon amount of research being carried out in different parts of the world. The scope of the conference is essentially inter-disciplinary though we have identified four broad areas– Power & energy systems, control & vibrational analysis, signals & circuits and computations.
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, Thrissur will be hosting this international conference. FIRST CALL FOR PAPERS
RETMAC 2010 is an international conference with a focus on materials science in general and materials characterization. It provides a forum for interaction and exchange of ideas among scientists, engineers, researchers, and users actively engaged in the broad area of materials science. The international conference would be held during February 14-15, 2010 at National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) located in Surathkal near Mangalore, India.
conference would include invited lectures from eminent scientists from India and abroad, contributed papers from participants through oral and poster presentations and exhibition by equipment vendors. There will be a best paper award consisting of a citation and cash prize.
National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) is a premier technical institute located near the port city of Mangalore in the south Indian state of Karnataka, offering undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in engineering, sciences and management.
